Glory

Glory. A master image that tells the story of the Bible.

Tell me more.

From the giving of the law, to the wilderness wanderings of Israel, to worshipping God in the tabernacle, the temple. Isaiah’s visions are of God’s glory, as are those of Ezekiel. The birth of Jesus. The transfiguration of Jesus. The final apocalyptic scene of the holy city, Jerusalem, descending in the clouds.

Glory is ascribed to God and found in the places of his Presence.

Splendor. Beauty. Magnificence. Radiance.

To encounter the glory of God is the very definition of awe. Indescribable.

He was the visible, tangible cloud of glory by day and fire by night. And, there will be a future when the Glorious One will come.

The Bible says I will share in his glory.

And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory. Colossians 3:4 (NLT)

I better make sure I know what it is.
